When people struggle with addiction, they often don’t understand how they reached this point. However, with education and guidance, they have the opportunity to turn their lives around. Seeking help at an inpatient residential treatment center like Grace Recovery is one of the best ways to do just that.
Why Is Residential Care Important?
An inpatient residential treatment center offers the highest level of support for those dealing with substance use disorder. Clients live at the facility and have access to full days of treatments and therapies. This intensive level of care is essential in moderate to severe cases of addiction, or in situations where clients don’t have a safe and supportive home environment. Residential programs allow clients to take a step back from their everyday lives and focus entirely on their recovery. This distraction-free environment also lets clients get the most out of their treatment program.
While many residential treatment centers only offer 30-day programs, Grace Recovery is proud to provide up 90-day care programs. Unfortunately, 30-day programs are largely still the industry standard. Having the option to participate in an extended program at an inpatient residential treatment center can make a significant positive difference in client outcomes.
Aspects of Care at Our Inpatient Residential Treatment Center
At Grace Recovery, we aim to provide comprehensive care. At our inpatient residential treatment center, our multidisciplinary team works hard to provide everything our clients may need to find success. Our offerings include the following:
We assign our clients a primary medical doctor for the duration of their stay in our detox program at our inpatient residential treatment center. This doctor ensures clients are following their medication regimens and also provide post-detox support.
Individuals battling addiction are at a higher risk for certain conditions and diseases, including HIV, hepatitis C, and cirrhosis. Our team provides education on testing for these conditions, as well as support and treatment if necessary. Our clients also meet with an ancillary psychiatrist to determine whether any co-occurring mental health conditions are present. If necessary, the psychiatrist will create a complementary dual diagnosis treatment plan to address both the addiction and mental health challenges.
Individual and Group Therapy
One-on-one talk therapy and therapy groups are both fundamental to addiction treatment. In these sessions, clients work with their therapists to discuss a wide variety of topics, including the following:
- Anger management
- Grief and loss
- Relapse prevention
- Family dynamics
- Emotional regulation
Individual therapy is where clients learn the most about themselves and the reasons behind their habits and behaviors. Then, we teach them tools to improve their lives and their ability to cope with stress and anger. This education continues in group therapy, where we add an element of community to help our clients build a support network.
All of our clients have bi-weekly meetings with their assigned case manager. In these meetings, clients work with their case manager to set both short- and long-term goals for their recovery journey. Topics of discussion during these sessions include 12-step goals, education, employment, and housing.
The multidisciplinary team at Grace Recovery consists of case managers, therapists, physicians, psychiatrists, and other professionals that all work together to help clients succeed. One aspect of this work is assisting clients to put a plan in place for when they leave the treatment center. Depending on their needs, we refer clients to continue their care in sober living, intensive outpatient, or outpatient programs.
